In this panel discussion, we will explore together what artificial intelligence (AI) means for healthcare systems and services from technical, ethical, and legal perspectives. By bringing together an international group of researchers from different disciplines, we will ask:
o Will AI mean the end of the physician-patient relationship as we know it?
o Does embracing AI in medicine mean accepting uncertainty and giving up control?
o Are our current ethical tools up to the task of governing medical AI?
Panelists will come from projects at the University of Oslo and University of South-Eastern Norway investigating the use of machine learning in respiratory medicine (Respire) and the implications of extended reality technologies (XR4HUMAN).
