External funding of research cooperation between the University of Oslo and universities of the Global South primarily comes from the Norwegian Department of Foreign Affairs and Norad, through the Research Council of Norway, country embassies and the programme NORHED administered by Norad.
The programme of the Research Council of Norway NORGLOBAL (forskningsradet.no) will strengthen Norwegian Research Cooperation with countries of the Global South. It is also possible to include institutions of the South in cooperation projects within normal RCN calls and through the EU Horizon 2020.
It is a priority for UiO to cooperate with partners in the Global South, and we have a webpage for partners on cooperation with the Global South.
