The interfaculty research area Kultrans has now ended (Dec. 2013), in accordance with the plan made in cooperation with the UiO board in 2008. Kultrans books and articles will be published, and PhD degrees will be defended in the years to come, and this site will be kept updated. [Norsk]

Civility, Virtue and Emotions in Europe and Asia. History of Concepts as Entangled History from the 18th century to the First World War

Textualizing Democracy
The projects focuses on investigating the textual processes involved in the creation of the Norwegian Constitution and its various transformations and interpretations during the last two centuries. Project website.
A Cross-Disciplinary Study of Euclid’s Elements
This project studies the historical impact of Euclid’s Elements to understand the global diffusion of its mathematical ideas, based on the methods of comparative philology, involving translations into Arabic, Latin, Chinese and Sanskrit. Project website.
