In this presentation, we wish to introduce the Dreesen project, and present two objects from this joint exhibition and research effort: a photograph taken by Wilhelm Dreesen during a visit to Norway in 1897, and an oil painting by Heinrich Petersen-Angeln titled "Sognefjord". The objects, their historical context and reflections on the research and exhibition will be provided by the project leaders, dr. Michael Fuhr of the Museumsberg Flensburg and Bendik Egge of the Norwegian Museum of Travel and Tourism.
