If you will be collecting National ID numbers you must have the legal right to collect personal information ref. The Act relating to the processing of personal data § 12. You are responsible for determining whether you have a legal right for the use of National ID numbers, and whether you have a particular need for identification the person using the National ID number and that no other identifiers that can be used.
The Custom field National ID numbers is a question that now have three distinct modes that accept:
- Valid norwegian national id-number
- Only numbers
- Custom verification of the presence of a given number of numbers and/or letters (a ... Z)
This element also has an option to be presented twice to require the respondent to enter the same respons two times for added security against "typos" in the id-field.
When this field is used in a form the given respons will be replaced with the text "Can not show" whenever a copy of the submission is sent by email.
