Access to Canvas
As a UiO student, you will have access to your Canvas account as long as you're an active student, or on leave of absence. When you are no longer an active student, such as when you complete your studies, you will no longer have access to Canvas.
You will retain your access to some other IT systems at UiO, such as e-mail and your home directory, for up to 180 days after your access to Canvas ends.
What should I do before I end my studies?
We recommend that you go through your Canvas rooms and download any content, files or submissions that you still want to keep while you are still an active student at UiO. You may also want to check your file archive in Canvas, which you can find by going to your account from the left-hand menu in Canvas and clicking on Files. The file archive contants all the files that you have uploaded in Canvas, such as assignments and file attachments from discussions and chats.
What can I do once I'm no longer an active student?
For a short period after completing your studies, you can contact IT Help and ask for an export archive of the files that you have uploaded to Canvas yourself. UiO can not give you access to any files that you haven't uploaded yourself.
