How to delete an email account

Removing an email account is in principle the same whether it is POP3, IMAP or Exchange account.

It can be beneficial to delete old accounts before creating a new one.

This tutorial shows you how to remove an account in the Email application on a Samsung device.

1. Go to the application Email and then to Settings.
2. Choose the account you want to remove from the list of Accounts.
3. Click Remove and confirm that you want to Remove the account in the dialogue box that appears.

Depending on the type of Android phone and Email application, there will be variations on where to find the menu for deleting an account.
