What is Mozilla Thunderbird?
- Thunderbird is the preferred client for e-mail on Linux at the UiO.
- Some Linux users should use Evolution, as the program with a calendar.
- Note: Reading e-mail with Thunderbird (IMAP) is only possible from UiO's wired network. For reading e-mail with IMAP from UiO's wireless and outside UiO, SSH tunneling must be used.
- Red data in e-mail? To send red data in e-mail, we recommend that you send a link to an access restricted document or a link to a document with sensitivity label. Sensitivity labels are not available in Thunderbird.
