What is UiO Programkiosk
Important Information
VMware Horizon Client has been renamed to Omnissa Horizon Client. Therefore, you may find that VMware Horizon Client is still installed on your machine, even after the name change.
If you would like it updated, you need to reinstall the client on your machine.
Follow the guide below on how to install Omnissa Horizon Client on your machine.
The UiO Programkiosk (application kiosk) gives you access to your home area and a large amount of applications without having to install the applications on the computer you are using.
The kiosk is available to all students and staff at UiO, from Windows, OS X and Linux. By logging in you get access to programs like;
- Kontor Fullskjerm
- MatLab, STATA, R
- Adobe Photoshop, InDesign etc.
- Visio
- Internet Explorer on the UiO web, the Office suite and other administrative programs
Getting started
Log on to the UiO application kiosk with Omnissa Horizon Client
If nothing happens when you press the button:
- Install from Software Center (UiO computer)
- Download from Omnissa (all other computers)
- If you are unable to download Omnissa you can use the webversion of the application kiosk
