- You will have a username that is totally disconnected from UiO, it is prefixed by ec (ec-username) , and the username is selected by you (if available).
- You will not have easy access to UiO storage (posix) through NFS or SMB, but you may add it using SSHFS and webdav etc.
- You are not in the same domain as NREC.
- UiO licensed resources as the library services is not accessible from Educloud (not doable license-wise)
- You will not have the same plethora of windows software from day one as at UiO, but we will increase the software stack according to your needs.

First invoicing will be based on usage from 1.January 2022 and will be invoiced in October/November 2022 for any UiO project.

Due to UiO ownership and policy UiO users will not be charged with cycles on the HPC system nor backup, as this cost is covered by other means. Due to the nature of Windows licensing, even UiO projects will be charged for this.
UiO projects will not be charged for the service in 2021 as a startup and sign-on bonus.
