Dear admins of TSD projects
As Easter came surprisingly fast this process became a bit delayed. We have now opened up for applications for compute time on Colossus.
The rules are as follows :
UIO projects have a limited number of free CPU hours as described in the contract, now decided to be 10.000 CPU hours.
For all use except from this free quota all projects must pay for their CPU usage:
UIO projects : 0.35NOK pr CPU hour
UH-sector projects : 0.35NOK pr CPU hour + taxes (25%)
Others (Hospitals etc) : 0.50 NOK pr CPU hour + taxes (25%)
For projects planning to spend a lot of CPU hours it might be an idea to contact tsd-drift@usit.uio.no and consider buying nodes in Colossus.
As Colossus is a limited resource we have decided that you must pay for what you get allocated based on your application.
Meaning that if you apply for 100.000 hours and use none, you must still pay for it as you bind this resource so that noone else can use it. If you have applied for too little you can apply for more, and get it if there are any unallocated CPU hours left during the period.
Usage of your CPU hours must be spread out through the year and you can noe expect to be able to run very large jobs at the last week of the allocation period to spend unused hours as jobs are meant to be spread fairly evenly out throughout the year.
You must apply for at least 50.000 CPU hours
