Ordering ICT in research

Below you will find a description of how to proceed to order the service "ICT in research".

Employees at Ahus

  1. Have department and project codes available

  3. The order requires the approval of the department manager after the order has been placed

Employees at OUS

About the order form

  • The order form supports that others - e.g. a buyer or manager - can make the order on behalf of the employee.
  • Existing users of ICT in research can also use the order form to order/cancel licensed additional software such as Stata, GraphPad, NVivo and/or software from Adobe.
    • OUS has its own licenses for SPSS which can be installed via the Software Center on Windows machines (no order required).
  • The entire service or parts of the services can also be canceled via the order form.

What happens after ordering?

I. After the first order, a user account will be created and any ordered machine prepared.

  • When UiO registers your user account:
    • an e-mail with a time-limited link is automatically sent out. Via the link, you will be asked for the necessary supplementary information (birth number, mobile number). It is important that the e-mail address provided when ordering is active.
    • when the user account has been approved, you will receive an SMS with a username and a link to UiO's password service.
  • When ordering a machine
    • You will be contacted by UiO when the ordered machine is ready for delivery, provided we do not need more information.
