The language café is the place to be if you are a new student at UiO and want to practice Norwegian. If you will be leaving for a semester abroad soon or recently came back from one, this is a great opportunity to brush up on your language skills!

Regardless of your level, you get to practice the language of your choice in an informal and relaxed setting.

You do not need to sign up in advance. However, please let us which language you are interested in:

Do you want to contribute as a language volunteer? This involves guiding the conversations and answering simple questions about the language, and requires no teacher training or grammar expertise. You can let us know via the form below and we will be in touch:

Language cafés are organised seven times this semester. You will find us in “Lille Scene & Litteratursalongen” in the basement floor of The Humanities and Social Sciences Library in Georg Sverdrups hus. You need to enter the library(and not just the building itself) before you can access the basement floor.
