Norwegian for Academics (NORA)
Norwegian language courses up to advanced level (B2-C1, CEFR level). A NORA course offers you all in one: university teaching, language practice and exam.
Course overview
The language courses are offered in the spring and autumn semesters with teaching held both in the day time and evenings. Course fees apply. (See information on summer semester under this section.)
NOTE: Only available for applicants who are residing in Norway/EU/EEA.
- NORA0110 – Elementary Norwegian Level I (15 credits, A2)
- NORA0120 – Intermediate Norwegian Level 2 (15 credits, B1)
- NORA0130 – Mellomkurs i norsk, trinn 3 (20 credits, B2-C1)
- NORA0130D – Mellomkurs i norsk, trinn 3 (20 credits, B2-C1) (online and session-based)
- NORA0140 – Norsk for viderekomne, trinn IV (15 credits, C2)
An online and session-based Norwegian language course
NORA0130D consists of online teaching in combination with classroom sessions at Blindern campus in Oslo. Regular attendance is expected of all participants.
Intensive summer courses
If you are up for an intensive Norwegian language course, subscribe to a course at the International Summer School's summer session. Levels 1-3 are offered as summer courses. The application period is January-February.
