Programme structure

Quantum Information Science and Technology is built around a Master's thesis, which is an independent scientific research work of 60 ECTS credits, and six courses with a total of 60 ECTS credits.

The programme contains mandatory courses. For general structure and mandatory requirements, please see the programme structure.

Recommended courses

In addition to the mandatory courses, you must choose courses in consultation with your supervisor. We recommend courses focusing on quantum mechanics, quantum information theory and quantum technologies. These recommendations are divided into two specialisations: theoretical and applied.

You may choose from both listings below (theoretical and applied), but note that conflicts in schedule are more likely if you mix courses from both groups, so please remember to check your schedule and exam dates.
