Oral examination
After you have submitted your thesis, STK will establish a committee and arrange your final examination. You will receive written notification with the time and place for the oral examination, at least two weeks in advance.
Oral examination
- The oral examination may last up to 60 minutes, but typically about 45 minutes.
- You may choose whether you want to know the grade before the examination starts or if you want the final grade at the end of the examination.
- The oral examination consists of an examination of the Master’s thesis and an explanation for the grade given to the thesis.
- The oral examination may alter the grade given on your thesis.
Explanation
- The explanation accounts for the general principles upon which the grade has been given and for the examination of the performance of student.
- The candidate receives an explanation of the grade during the oral examination.
- The candidate will also receive the explanation in writing (to their student e-mail) a few days after the examination.
Diploma
- You will receive your diploma approximately 1-2 months after your final examination.
- All diplomas are issued by the Faculty of Humanities. Read more about Diplomas.
- The diploma is sent by registered mail.
