Start of studies for Programming and Systems Architecture

Welcome to the master's programme in Programming and Systems Architecture at the Department of Informatics. We are looking forward to welcome you on Tuesday 13 August 2024. There is a joint program for all Master's students at the department  13 - 15 August.

To do's at the beginning of the semester

  •  From 13-15 August, you will attend the Introductory week for master's students.
    • On the first day, there is a mandatory orientation meeting with your academic department, where you will receive important information about your program and meet your buddy group. Wednesday and Thursday's program is for all new master's students at the department.
  • 15 August is deadline for choosing courses.
    • Important! You don't need to do anything before the orientation meeting, but it's recommended to look through recommended courses in advance. Read more about selecting courses below.

Selecting courses

We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the recommended and highly recommended courses offered this semester. In your first semester, it is advisable to take highly recommended and/or recommended subjects to ensure that you meet the minimum requirements of the program. When you get a supervisor, you will choose the rest of the master subjects together, based on your academic interests and the topic of your master's thesis.

There will also be social events throughout the orientation week, so you can get to know your fellow students and research groups better.
