Master's degree students in this field gain special expertise on magnetic planetary atmospheres, energy transport in the solar-earth system, and the radiation environment in near-earth space and the earth’s atmosphere. You will gain fundamental insight into the theory of a plasma’s dynamic behaviour, and the theory of radiation scattering, emission and absorption in atmospheres. You will also receive training in the use of advanced on-site and distance measuring techniques of atmosphere and space plasma, numerical simulation and signal analysis.
Through studying for a master’s degree you will learn fundamental scientific working methods, how to work independently on a large-scale project, and you will gain experience in producing a clear, well-structured, critical written presentation.
