Documentation Guidelines
- Upload documents preferably in PDF or JPG format at the online application system (S?knadsweb) within the application deadline.
- When uploading documents, you acknowledge that the University of Oslo may contact the issuing institution for verification.
- Submission of fraudulent documents is illegal, and will be reported to the proper authorities and may lead to dismissal and loss of right to study. Your are liable for uploading true and unaltered documents.
- If admitted, you must bring your original documents with you as you might be asked to present the documents to the University. Failure to submit documents on request will lead to dismissal.
- Incomplete applications will be rejected.
Required education:
- West African Senior School Certificate (from 2006) / West African Senior Secondary School Certificate (1993–2005) with at least 6 subjects of which English, Mathematics and Integrated Science (named Science before ca. 2000) must be passed + 1 year university education, or
- West African Examinations Council, General Certificate of Education, Ordinary level (O level)/School Certificate + 1 year university education, or
- West African Examinations Council, General Certificate of Education, Ordinary level (O level) / School Certificate + West African Higher School Certificate GCE Advanced level (A level) with 3 A levels.
All diplomas/certificates must be issued by The West African Examinations Council.

Any attempt to obtain admission with fraudulent documents is illegal and will be reported to the proper authorities.
Important about documentation
- A random selection of students can be asked to present their original documents before starting their studies.
- You are responsible for uploading all required documentation, as well as ensuring that it is uploaded within the application deadline. As it may take several weeks for institutions and test centres to provide transcripts and/or test scores, please arrange for these documents to be issued as soon as possible.
- Please note that we maintain the right to contact institutions, firms, associations and government agencies for the purpose of explanation and/or verification of uploaded documents.
