Professor Tarjei Bekkedal and Professor Mads Anden?s present their new article on the EEA Agreement and the Norwegian continental shelf. The reach of EEA Law is defined by functional notions. Geographical criteria are irrelevant. The EEA agreement is applicable to any activity that falls within the sovereignty/jurisdiction of the EU- and EFTA-states including on the continental shelf and in the exclusive economic zone.
The EU has been particularly active in the domain of public sector data sharing in recent years.
