In "Starter kit: Teaching as a PhD candidate", the participants will gain a understanding of the fundamental concepts of learning, along with valuable techniques and strategies for promoting active learning. Additionally, they'll have opportunities to enhance their pedagogical development and start building a teaching portfolio through the application of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) framework.
The course is offered in collaboration with HF, and we're lucky to have with us several exceptional faculty staff members from both faculties who will share their best practices.
The course is divided into two session.
-
Session 1: Teaching and learning in Higher education, March 20th
-
Session 2: Supervision and Assessment, April 25th
The course is designed as an interactive workshop that emphasizes active participation.
For information on the course portfolio, please consult the course page, Starter kit: Teaching as a PhD candidate.
This course is also scheduled for fall 2024.
