The project aims to gain a thorough understanding of interdisciplinary education at UiO and establish a baseline that will serve as a reference point for future improvements and innovations in interdisciplinary education. This involves gathering detailed insights from educators and students to identify how interdisciplinary education is currently implemented and experienced. INTED has executed semi-interviews with students, administrative, teachers and leaders involved in interdisciplinary initiatives across UiO through 2024.
By understanding the existing landscape, the project seeks to highlight best practices, identify areas for enhancement, and ultimately contribute to the development of more effective interdisciplinary educational strategies at UiO. The interviews allow us to find out more about todays practice of interdisciplinary education and to assess strengths and weaknesses among existing courses and programs, while exploring opportunities and obstacles that faculty members and students have identified.
