Academic interests

The purpose of my PhD-project is to study how the brain makes predictions about future events. I mainly use the EEG-method in combination with auditory experiments.

Our external sensory environment is full of temporal regularity. Musical beats and rhythms are examples of temporal regularity that most of us experience in our daily lives. I use musical rhythm as a tool to study how the brain makes predictions about the occurrence of future events. I am also interested in how attention may modulate or interact with mechanisms of temporal prediction.
