Emotion, Identity and Narrative:
In this seminar, we look for connections between scientific explorations of emotion and the nature of subject identity. We will explore philosophical and scientific approaches to emotion, as well as recent work on identity and self-recognition. A central theme will be the significance of narrative structures in our understanding of emotions and of the self.
