Topics for "presentations".
As we discussed in class today there will be 3 topics for the presentations. Four students are needed for each and the presentatiom should last some 10-15 minutes, with 15 more minutes for open discussion.
Topic 1: A debate with 2 students arguing for allowing more refugees in Europe and in Norway in particular and 2 students arguing against it.
Topic 2: A debate with 4 students (2 born to Norwegian parents, and 2 with Norwegian passports, but not born to Norwegian parents). Each should answer these questions:
1- What does it mean to you "to be Norwegian"?
2- Do you feel "Norwegian"?
3- If not, why?
Topic 3: A host has invited 3 historical figures and asks them questions. These figures may stand for different philosophies about life, religious views, etc.... or they can be famous figures from the world of art, literature, the movies, etc...
NB: You should focus on the vocabulary you can manage rather than look up words your colleagues might find difficult to understand. If any new words are used, they should be explained in advance.
Each presentation should last some 8-10 minutes and then will be followed by a discussion. You should memorize your lines, but you can also rely on your own notes to help you remember (yet still acting you roles). Reading is NOT allowed.
