A new version of the glossary for the exam has been uploaded, now with the index of characters with difficult radicals.
I have now uploaded (A) my versions of the second translation assignment, (B) Rouzer's glossary, which you may use during the exam. I should emphasize that the recommended solution is to have a Classical Chinese dictionary in addition to the glossary and a Modern Chinese dictionary, but you should be able to get by with Rouzer and a comprehensive Modern Chinese dictionary.
You should now have got your 2. translation assignment by email. Please note the extended deadline (May 11). I have also uploaded a document with my translations of the last assignment. Please bear in mind that often different solutions are possible. [Ivo]
I have been assaulted by a vicious cold, so unfortunately tomorrow's lecture is cancelled. For next class after Easter, please prepare as indicated in the course plan. Feedback on the test will be postponed until then. Sorry for the inconvenience. [Ivo]
I will use part of coming Wednesday's class to discuss the form and content of the mid-term test. [Ivo]
Everyone should now have received an email with the first translation assignment. Students who haven't received any topic are requested to contact me as soon as possible. [Ivo]
The list of items for the mid-term test has been available in Fronter for a week... [Ivo]
NB! The midterm test will take place in auditorium 3 in Sophus Bugges hus.
If you want to choose the text for your first translation assignment yourself, please notify me by email by Tuesday evening (March 28). Ideally you should also indicate which text you want to translate. All others will receive their first translation assignment in the course of next week. [Ivo]
