(1) The schedule on the semester page has now been updated; please hold off both March 10 and April 17 as alternative dates for the seminar on activists, NGOs and social media!

Here is a simplified overview of the schedule as currently planned:

  3. 3 mar. green discourses and policies; “Green shift” case studies (solar energy; hydrogen; rentier states and “energy democracy”)

  6. 24 mar. air pollution (case study: Iran)
  7. 7 apr.  water and conflict
  8. 14 apr.? environmental activists/NGO/social media (alternative date)
  9. 21 apr. case study Kuwait
  10. 28 apr. case study Lebanon
  11. 12 mai eco-criticism in literature

(2) The Leganto reading list is being processed by the University library and will be linked to from the semester page ASAP. Meanwhile, here is a printout of the preliminary reading list — note that this includes both obligatory readings and suggested resources to be used for students’ term papers.

(3) A Canvas room for this course will be opened ASAP.

(4) More information will be given during the introductory seminar. This seminar is currently planned as a physical/hybrid meeting; if the university decides in the coming days that all teaching has to be conducted on Zoom, you will be informed accordingly.
