LING2104 – Morphology and Syntax 2
Course description
Schedule, syllabus and examination date
Course content
In this course each student will develop their own constructed language with a focus on features of the language that are of particular interest for morphology and syntax. To give students a practical approach to these fields of study, we will be using constructed languages (e.g. Dothraki, Klingon, Elvish etc) as a pedagogical tool.
Learning outcome
After having completed this course, students will have reached a deeper understanding of morphological and syntactic phenomena, both in terms of their description and in relation to theory. They will also be able to use this understanding in relation to other data, from their mother tongue or other languages.
