Students are expected to look at the glossary of concepts and terms (Ch. 1) and read Ch. 2 of Nye and Welch: Understanding Global Conflict and Cooperation before the first seminar on Friday Aug. 29th.
Eric Hobsbawm's On Empire: America, War and Global Supremacy is unfortunately not available at the campus bookstore Akademika. However, it is available via Amazon and other booksellers online. If you are unable to procure a copy, indicate this at the beginning of term, and we will set up a lending rotation. It is a short book and should be easily read in a few days.
