What characterizes the 2016 presidential election campaigns in the US? How are the campaigns taking into use social media? What factors explains the celebrity politician Donald Trump? How does this year’s election campaigns differ from previous campaigns? And to what degree will the Norwegian political debate and future election campaigns be inspired by the Trump and Clinton campaigns?

About the project: The SAC-project is an international research project. The project focused on how social media like Facebook and Twitter impacts on the agenda setting and the power hierarchies in democratic countries. The project is funded by the Norwegian Research Council (NFR)
