This lecture is designed to help students who are writing an English language paper for one of their electives. Writing an English language ‘paper’ will, for some students, be an entirely new academic exercise - and this lecture has been specifically designed to help you write a good paper.

At the end she will hand out a “How-to-Write a Paper Guide”, written specifically for law students at UiO.
The results of the mid-term paper are now available in Studentweb. The grading result is either pass or fail.
This is how you do:
Go to the 'HUMR5140 Assignment' folder, click on the hand-in folder and find your own document. Just next to your document there is a small arrow; click on the arrow and scroll down to 'comments', then you will see the document.
Students will find their candidate number in Studentweb. Login to Studentweb with your usual password and username.
There has been a few small changes about the mid-term essay. Students should hand in the essay as a pdf and a docx-file.
The information sheet about the mid-term essay has been updated accordingly.
The exam questions for the mid-term essay is now published under the link "Assignment (examinations) on the opposite page. The essay should be submitted in Fronter no later than 01:00 (p.m) on 27 September. Please note that the essay should not exceed 3500 words (one page is approx. 400 words).
