Besides the individual opinions of the various justices also indicated in the syllabus, you don't  need to familiarise yourselves with the remaining optional readings.

Gentian Zyberi's lecture which was cancelled on 24 October, is rescheduled to Friday 1 November, from 12:15-14, auditorium 5.

This lecture is designed to help students who are writing an English language paper for one of their electives. Writing an English language ‘paper’ will, for some students, be an entirely new academic exercise - and this lecture has been specifically designed to help you write a good paper.

Ph.D. fellow Sofie H?gest?l will hold the lecture.
 
Time: Wednesday 30 October, 14:15-16:00
Venue: Auditorium 4, DA (Domus Academica building).

Sofie H?gest?l will go through the steps needed to write a good paper, including how to:

-Select a good research question
-Find quality English language sources for your research
-How to structure your paper
-How to write clear and concise legal analysis in English.

At the end she will hand out a “How-to-Write a Paper Guide”, written specifically for law students at UiO.

Students need to hand in their research question and brief outline to Professor Cecilia Bailliet by e-mail by 14 October at 13:00. Lengt of paper is ca. one page.

The examination consist of a final paper (home examination) which should be handed in within the deadline 2 December at 13:00. The paper should be handed in at the Info Centre at the Law faculty. Max. lenght of paper is 6000 words. More information about the submission will come shortly.
