It is therefore very important that you read carefully the information about the “4 hour written open book digital school examination”. You will find information about what examination support material you can bring, the use of sources and rules for citing, example of highlighting in a text.
This means however that there is NOT a special list with support materials in this course, and special rules for how to make “references”in the support materials ( referring to “Exam tips video no.1- writing legal exams”) All the other information in the video -tips lectures is general and relevant for writing legal exams.
The assigned textbook for this course for the bachelor level is unfortunately out of print: Nils Melzer, International Humanitarian Law: A Comprehensive Introduction (ICRC, 2016) (331 pages).
An alternative to this book is: Nicholas Tsagourias and Alasdair Morrison, International Humanitarian Law: Cases, Materials and Commentary (Cambridge University Press, 2018) https://www.cambridge.org/no/academic/subjects/law/humanitarian-law/international-humanitarian-law-cases-materials-and-commentary (35 GBP).
Place: Auditorium 6, Domus Academica, Karl Johans gate 47 Time: 24 September, 16.00-17.30 pm
Context The Norwegian Centre for Human Rights, the Norwegian Red Cross, and the Norwegian Defence University College are co-organizing this event to mark the 70th anniversary of the 1949 Geneva Conventions.
