For the class presentation, please see this document for instructions and list of topics. For each topic, there are links to several articles, you can use them, or add more relevant papers if you want. The evaluation criteria can be downloaded here. Please let us know the topic you choose to present by Nov. 1 (see instructions in the file). The actual presentation will be in Nov. 13-15. 

The third assignment can be downloaded here. It is due on Thursday, November 1.

Hi all, 

Sorry for the inconvenience but I am not able to lecture tomorrow due to personal reasons. Therefore the lecture is cancelled, but don't worry, we will have enough time to cover all the material for this course.

Sorry for the late notice, but the exercise class this afternoon is CANCELLED due to illness of the group teacher. Instead, there will be an exercise class tomorrow morning at normal lecture hours (10:15 - 12:00) led by myself, please drop by if you have any questions.

Please note that these questions are just you to get familiar with the style of the exam, they are not guaranteed to re-appear in this year's exam. I will put up the solutions a few days before the midterm.

The first assignment can be downloaded here. The deadline is Monday, September 10. Exercise 2 requires some coding to solve the perturbation equation numerically. You can choose your preferred programming language, but please attach the codes when you hand in the assignment.
