PGP365 – Advanced social pharmacy
Course content
An introduction in basic economics, with particular emphasis on topics with relevance to pharmacoeconomics, is given. Further one goes more in depth in the subject of pharmacoeconomics through presentation of methodology, need and how and where it can come in use.
Learning outcome
The course aims at giving an introduction to how the pharmaceutical market works, in relation to a free-competition market, and why it is regarded as necessary to regulate the pharmaceutical market. The student will require an understanding of how pharmacoeconomic evaluations can be conducted and how society can benefit from them.
