The exercise session on Friday this week (27th of October) is cancelled. Instead, if you have questions about Problem Set 9, you can visit me in my office, ?374, on Monday next week (30th of October), between 12:00 and 16:00.

On Friday Oct. 6. the midterm exam will be available on the Inspera exam system. You have one week to solve the problems. You should hand in your solutions (scanned handwritten notes are ok) on Inspera before Friday Oct. 13 at 14:00.
Write your candidate number on your answer sheets. Not your name!
You are allowed to talk to each other about quantum mechanics during the exam. Nevertheless, the exam is an individual exam and so you are yourself responsible for understanding and justifying what you write.
If you have questions about wordings etc. in the problem set, ask them on the Discussions forum on Canvas. In that way everybody can see our answers.
There will be no lectures nor exercise sessions in the midterm-week. Lectures will resume on Monday Oct. 16 and problem set 7 is due on Oct. 17.
Due to equipment disarray there was no video-recording of the lecture today (Sept. 18). Hopefully things will work better tomorrow.
A word of warning though: Lecture attendance has been dropping lately. If the lecture attendance drops to below 20 students, I will stop recording videos.
The midterm exam will be arranged as a week-long take-home exam on the Inspera system:
It will be available on Friday Oct. 6 at 2:00pm and should be handed in on Inspera before Friday Oct 13. at 2:00pm.
For those of you who handed in problem set 1 on Canvas: Do not forget to login on Canvas and do peer review. Follow the instructions given in the solution; do not forget to give points on problem 1.8(X).
Due to a scheduling conflict with FYS2160, the exercise sessions on Wednesdays have been moved to
Tuesdays 14-16 (Tidrommet)
This means that all deadlines for the weekly exercises have also been moved to Tuesdays at 14:00. (This holds for both in-persona peer review and on Canvas)
Thus the first weekly set is due on Aug. 29 at 14:00
Problem set 1 is available. Normally the problem sets and solutions will be posted only on Canvas (It hasn't opened yet.).
Please read about the problem sets
Welcome to FYS3110 Quantum mechanics.

The first weekly problem set will be posted on Fri. Aug. 18 (it is due Wed. Aug. 30.)
