The problem set and the solutions to the final exam are now availavble.
Solutions for the exams of previous years are now available.
A minor error has been corrected in Eq. (44) of the Formula Collection.
Final Exam: Since the lectures and all the material of the course has been in English, also the problem set of the final exam will be given in English. The solutions may be written in Norwegian or English, depending on your preference.
Periodic evaluation: An evaluation form for the course is available under the headline "Course evaluation". The form is in Norwegian. Please fill in the form and return it to the lecturer the coming week.
Problem set 11 has by a mistake not been posted on the web page, but is now available. Problem set 12 is also available.
Formula Collection for the course is now available. This is permitted to be used at the final exam.
Part II and III of the lecture notes have been updated, with some minor changes and a few corrections.
Results from the midterm exam are posted on the course page.
Midterm Exam: Remember to use student number (kandidatnummer) rather than name on your solution.
Midterm Exam: There has been a question regarding problem 2d. The question concerns a solution to eq. 5 with y'=0, which means that the light beam follows a straight horizontal line. This is in fact a false solution and should be ignored (compare with eq. 4).
Midterm Exam: Note that Problem 3 is complete, even if there is no point e).
Midterm Exam: The problem set will be available on the course page Friday, March 20. Deadline for return of solutions is Friday, March 27. Please return printed or written solutions to Ekspedisjonskontoret before closing time on Friday. The text will be in English, but solutions may be written in Norwegian or English depending on your own preference. The lecturer and assistant on the course will be available for qustions concerning the problems on Monday, March 23.
Note: There is no teaching during the week of the midterm exam.
