Oppgavesett 14 er en obligatorisk innleveringsoppgave. Settet vil v?re tilgjengelig p? kurssiden fra mandag 28/4. Frist for innlevering er mandag 5. mai. Besvarelsene leveres p? ekspedisjonskontoret.
Oppgavene vil bli gjennomg?tt tirsdag 22/4, etter p?ske. Dette blir i stedet for forelesninger denne dagen, i vanlig forelesningstid 12.15-14.00 i aud 467?.
En kortfattet formelsamling foreligger n? p? emnesiden, i spr?kformene engelsk, norsk bokm?l og nynorsk.

The weekly exercises, Week 18, will be a compulsory hand in set. The problem set will be available from Monday, April 28, dealine for submitting solutions will be Monday, May 5.
In eq.(1), a minus sign in the kinetic part of the Lagrangian, which should obviously not be there, has been removed in the problem set on the course page. Please correct that in your own copy. If other misprints are discovered, please let me know.

A note with a general discussion about linearizetion of the equations of motions near a stable equilibrium
Since there has been no objection from the students to the suggested change of time, the new time is now fixed. It is Week 12, with the problem set available on the course page from Monday, March 17. Written/printed solutions should be returned to Ekspedisjonskontoret before closing time (15:00) Monday, March 24.
Problem set 4 is a compulsory hand-in (obligatorisk innlevering).
The problem set will be available on the web page of the course from Monday, Feb. 3, and deadline for submitting solutions will be a week later, Monday, Feb. 10. Please deliver the written or printed solutions at Ekspedisjonskontoret before closing time.
Some of the students have asked for a change of time of the midterm exam, due to a planned trip to Cern by one of the other physics courses.
A suggested change is to have the exam in Week 12, specifically from Monday, March 17 to Monday, March 24.
In case this will be problematic for any of you, please let me know as soon as possible, at latest by Friday, January 31.

The time for the Exercise sessions is now fixed at mondays 16.15-18.00.
Problem set 1 is available at the course page and solutions will be discussed at the first session, Monday, January 20. at seminar room F? 394.
The midterm exam, which is a take-home exam, is scheduled for Week 15, April 4-11.
An updated set of lecture notes will be available on the course page from the beginning of next week. They will be used as textbook for the course.
