There are no lectures during week 46 (Monday 15 and Wednesday 17), only project work. During the last teaching week (November 29 to December 3) the lab will be open.

The two projects for project 5 are now available under the project link. Project 5a is the quantum mechanical project, while project 5b deals with ODEs for studying the Solar system.

In addition, there is material for those of you who wish to do GPU programming. In this case, parts d) and e) of project 5a are replaced by an OpenCL version for the Helium atom.

Under the slides link you will find an example of a latex file for making slides using the beamer style files. If this style file is not available, go to http://bitbucket.org/rivanvx/beamer/wiki/Home and install it on your pc/laptop.

Project 4 is now available, see under the projects link. The final lecture notes for fall 2010 can be found under the lectures link. The file is lectures2010.pdf. The correlation function defined in part d) has been corrected. The updated project can be found under the project link.

The final version of this year's lecture notes will be available electronically from Wednesday October 20. Project 4 will also be presented during Wednesday's lecture.

Project 3 is now available. Note that the programs for generating integration weights and points with Gauss-Laguerre quadrature can also be found under the catalogue for project 3. Deadline is October 18. Good luck.

Object-oriented codes, with several examples, are posted under the program link, see the file OOcodes.tar.gz. It will discussed during the lecture of Sept 22.

Project 2 is now available, see under the projects link. Both pdf and latex files are available. Deadline is October 4 (midnight).

Project 1 is now available, see under the projects link and at the left bottom you will see the link to project 1. The deadline is Monday 13 September.

The first lecture is August 23, 1215pm, Lille Fysiske Auditorium. The University of Oslo is changing its webpages. This means that, although this webpage should be in English only, there will be a mixture of English and Norwegian. However, all the course material and pertinent literature is in English only.
