This week there will as usual be lectures wednesday and thursday
Subject: Renormalization group (Callan Symanzik eq.) in QCD
I have got some questions about the use of the ~ in eq. 3 of the problems- it means "proportional to"- but I admit this is a bit unprecise. I should for inst have written instead of ~
= a \times , where |a|=1
The background for using ~ was differnt sign conventions, number og imaginary units , which I didnt want that you would struggle with... JOE
The problems for Mid Term Exam are now available.
There will be Mid-term exam (home) from monday 25th of february until tuesday the 5th of march. The problems for Mid term exam will be put on the Web friday afternoon the 22nd of february. Very last chance to deliver the written answer will be wednesday the 6th of march at the lecture 14.15.
This week there will be lectures wednesday the 20th at 14.15 and thursday the 21.th of febr at 10.15. The subject will be: The Renormaization Group Equations (RGE) (First for (\Phi)^4 theory;- Later for QCD)
Important message on Mid-term exam:
As indicated at last lecture, the mid-term exam (home exam) will be earler than previously planned, namely already in week 9 (Monday the 25th of february to friday first of march) instead of in mid march as indicated at the preliminary plan.
