The course GEO4410 will start on Friday 4. September with two introduction lectures 10:15-12:00 in the Geosciences building. The course content will be outlined, and there will be practical information about the field work period initiating the course.
The field work will take place at Finse Research Station at the water divide in southern Norway. We will leave by train for Finse on September 6 (early morning), and return to Oslo on September 12 (late afternoon). While at Finse there will be two days of excursion to glaciers and a range of periglacial and permafrost research sites. The remaining part of the period will be reserved for field work in groups. Each group will later have to submit (in November) a written report, based on this field work.
More detailed information on the field work at Finse, reporting, and the remaining part of the course (lectures, seminars, etc.), will follow later.
