I have edited the paragraph about mandatory meeting before the field trip. Please check below

During this course we offer a mandatory field trip to Finse Research Station (https://www.finse.uio.no/), in the period 17.-21.9.2017. During this period we will have lectures and field activity in an high-alpine mountain environment. We will define separate groups, working on special topics related to glacial and periglacial geomorphology and/or glaciology. During the lectures in week 36 we will give an introduction to the field activity, while in week 37 you will have time to prepare your field work. More info to come later ...

The course starts week 34, Friday, 25.8., 10.15, Aud III. This first meeting is absolutely mandatory. The same is valid for the second lecture, Thursday, 7.9., 12.15-14 in Skolestua. During both lecture we will give an introduction into the course, and discuss preparation work for the field visit.

Attendance at the first lecture is compulsory. Students who fail to meet, are considered to have withdrawn from the course unless they have previously given notice to the Studies administration, E-mail address: studieinfo@geo.uio.no
