The course starts off with five days of lectures and field trips at The Alpine Research Centre Finse during week 36 - Monday 5th to Friday 9th September. Students must arrive at Finse Sunday evening (4th September) at the latest since lectures start early Monday morning.

Travel to and from Finse is by train.

From Oslo: Depart Oslo S. Sunday 4/9 ca. 16:11, arrive Finse ca. 20:19.

From Bergen: Depart Bergen Sunday 4/9 ca. 15:58, arrive Finse ca.18:17.

Return Oslo: Friday 9/9 ca. 18:19, arrive Oslo S. ca.22:28.

Return Bergen: Friday 9/9 ca. 20:21, arrive Bergen ca.22:35.

Students purchase their own round-trip tickets (incl. seat reservation), remember student discount. It is a good idea to buy the ticket some days in advance since trains usually gets full on Sundays and Fridays.

Students will be required to pay a share of the costs for the course, food and reading material/compendium - NOK 750,-. Detail on payment will be given on arrival.
