We look forward to welcoming you to the course. Here is some information ahead of our first session:

Purpose
The aim of the course is to introduce you to a broad range of fundamental topics within health science and to provide you with sufficient background knowledge about the healthcare sector. This will equip you to engage in interdisciplinary work later in your education.
Based on this foundation, we will also explore information needs in healthcare and the role of digital technologies in supporting these needs.

Format
As the type of literature we will read may be unfamiliar to many of you, the course also aims to help you become comfortable with reading and discussing literature from the health sciences. To support this, the course is organized as a reading club.
This means there will be no traditional lectures. Instead, we will meet online each week to discuss that week's topic. Everyone is expected to read the material before each session and take part in the discussion. We will moderate and facilitate these conversations. More details will be provided during the first meeting.
