Exam Q&A
here are the Questions and Answers received about the exam:
Q1:I forbindelse med eksamen i In2150, skal man skrive kilder p? casen? Hvis jeg for eksempel bruker direkte sitat derfra?
A1: you do not need to have a reference to the case described in the text of the exam.
Q2: m? vi henvise til sidetall n?r vi oppgir pensumkildene, eller holder det med forfatterens navn og ?rstall?
A2: You need the page number only if you use a “quote"
Q3: should we refer to the case description in a certain way, or is it enough to write something like "as described in the case text ..."?
A3: It is enough to say ‘ as described in the case’
Q4: are we supposed to make the exam like a professional article, with a front page and subtitles? Or is there no such formal criteria for this exam?
A4: You do not need a front page and subtitles, just the title/number of the question (Question1, Question2…)
Q5: I am writing the exam in Norwegian and was wondering how we should write some of the concepts from pensum. With concepts from pensum such as cultivation-approach. Is it best to write them in English or translate to Norwegian?
A5: If you write in Norwegian you should translate as much as possible. You can keep the English word if the translation is not so good.
Q6: Thank you! I was wondering about the first question "Based on the case description, describe the installed base and how it constrained innovation". You said in the lecture to not put too much into summing up the case description. When describing the installed base, is it a correct understanding to use som examples from the case and then connect it to pensum? Or do you mean to describe the installed base more in general?
A6: Yes, correct to use some examples from the case and then connect to pensum.
Q8: I was wondering about how to deal with when a course article is refering to an outside- course article, how we should refer? Since the exam question says to only limit to the course articles.
A8: You should reference to the article you have read. If you want to be more precise you can refer to the original source and say as referenced in (pensum article).
Ex. Text text (von Brocke and Rosemann 2015 as referenced in pensum, year)
