Changes to IN3030 teaching

The University buildings have been closed to all, both students and teachers.

You are expected to continue your studies at home.

The University is preparing to do virtual lectures and virtual group sessions -- Kim and I are ready to do this already in the coming week using a Zoom client - get it from Zoom download center then login via uio.zoom.us using your UiO login (Feide), see instructions here.

Kim used Zoom for yesterday's group session - and it worked well. But the University wants to use the coming week to prepare for virtual teaching and so we have - so far - been told to wait with virtual teaching until March 23rd, as all teaching has been cancelled in the coming week.

As you are working on an Oblig, and you have had the theory necessary to do the work, you can just continue working on the Oblig - with or without lectures.

We have been allowed to say:
"If you have any questions concerning the assignment or using Zoom, feel free to send e-mail to the Teaching Assistant."

We *MIGHT* be allowed to hold a Group Session on Thursday via Zoom, we will see next week.

I *MIGHT* be allowed to hold a virtual lecture on Wednesday; if not, the next lecture will be a virtual one on Wednesday, March 25th, 2020

The Zoom instructions:

  1. Download a Zoom client for your platform.
  2. Log in using SSO with your UiO account.
  3. Then you are ready to join a session - we will send out session ids.

For now, just get it installed on whatever platforms that you want.

More as things develop further - lots of stuff can and will happen.

Have fun doing the oblig.

God helg.

Sincerely, Eric
