Teaching organization

During the corona pandemic, we made some adjustments to the teaching in this course. We are trying to keep some of the things that worked well, and aim to make the classroom sessions more interactive.

Lectures

During the pandemic, we had good experiences with letting students study the lecture videos at home, and having an interactive Zoom-session covering the week's material. Many students reported liking this setup, and we will therefore continue with something similar. We will have two lecture-related activities:

  • A weekly interactive session in the classroom, Mondays at 12:15 pm
  • Weekly prerecorded video lectures. These will be roughly 90 minutes, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter.

The weekly prerecorded videos will be available to watch at your own pace when you find it convenient. We recommend watching these before coming to the interactive session related to the same topic. In the interactive session, we will dive deeper into the week's topic, with demos, discussions, quizzes etc - and you may ask questions about the videos and the weekly curriculum.

Group sessions

We will offer weekly 2-hours group sessions. There will be weekly exercises for the group sessions and possibilities for discussing the mandatory assignments.

Mandatory assignments

There will be three mandatory assignments. All assignments must be passed to qualify for the final exam. They are graded on a pass-fail scale.
