I have collected the lecture slides in a single PDF and added it as a resource to the exam setup. You will be able to access it from the task bar during the exam.

I discovered that the course-description on the web page does NOT say that you can bring one of the approved calculators to the exam. So I just want to reaffirm what I have said in the lecture: you are ALLOWED to bring one of these calculators. In any case, you will also have MATLAB available which is able to do everything and more that a calculator can do. So it's just a matter of personal preference if you want to bring a calculator too.

Check here for which calculators that are approved: https://www.mn.uio.no/fysikk/studier/ressurser/godkjent-kalkulator.html

Mansur had an exam moved to this Tuesday on short notice and can't conduct the Q&A then. So he suggested to move to Wednesday to the time and place of the lecture, i.e. room Java 14:15.

Dear students,

shortly we will approve lab 3 in Devilry for those of you that have
submitted the report to Devilry. However, we will only 'approve' it but
not yet give you feedback nor the points you have scored. This is
because we are required to have all mandatory exercises approved in
Devilry two weeks before the exam. We will not be done correcting at
that point in time though, so the actual points and feedback will follow
AFTER this approval.

I had forgotten to set up Lab 3 in Devilry. This is now fixed and the system is ready for submissions. In light of the mistake I have extended the deadline to Friday 17:00.

The description of the output range measurement in task 2 has led to some confusion. The text has been updated.

Note that the lab 3 text in task 2 describing the method of determining the UPPER limit of the common mode range has been changed. It also contains a new request to explain a particular circuit behaviour as V_CM exceeds that upper limit.

I extended the HTML-page with the Cadence setup instructions with a recipe to share a Cadence library between users. This can enable work groups to work on the same designs from different computers and user accounts. Use with care: there is no failsafe mechanism that handles issues that arise form simultaneous editing. So always inform your collegues when you are working on a cell!

There is a bit of extra pensum through self study for the students registered in IN4170, i.e. on master level: read and understand book section '3.5 Rectifier Circuits', with an emphasis on being able to deduce and draw the qualitative I/O relationship of the rectifier circuits presented here and thus being able to apply the knowledge to reason out the I/O relationship to some similar circuits.

It is perfectly OK to have lab groups including students from both IN3170 and IN4170. However, devilry cannot handle groups accross different course codes. So in that case make very sure that all of your names are on the cover page of your report, and then you can submit two identical copies of your report, one in IN3170 and one in IN4170.

If you have questions on the lab come and see Philipp at his office, preferably on Monday 27-Feb 10:00-11:00.
