Dear students,

Our regular external examiner has fallen ill. This means a delay in getting the grading of your essays in order, but I can promise you that you will not reveive your grades later than the week of 24-30 May.

Sorry about this! Good luck with your other exams! Maja

Alongside the scientists, there are thousands of low-paid workers whose job it is to classify and label data - the lifeblood of such systems.

The corona situation requires that the course will be different from past years. We will have digital lectures over Zoom, on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:15 - 12:00. These lectures form part of the 80% mandatory participation. The first day of the course will be longer, from 10:15 to 15:00 and is mandatory for everyone, because all important course information will be presented there. The lectures will not be recorded. There is also group work during the course. Most of it can be done digitally, but some activities take place at IFI. You work on your group projects and read articles during the afternoon. Once I have received your email addresses from the study admin, I will send you an email with more detailed information.

I am sure that together we can work it out and create a safe and productive course!

Maja

P.S. I will soon publish the course literature and course schedule
