?Dear all,
We have received some questions from students who wonder if they need to submit the last assignment. We therefore repeat information that was given at the start of the semester: if you have passed 80% of the assignments as well as participated in 80% of the seminars you have the right to take the exam.
However, to benefit from the two seminars that are left you should - as always - come prepared. For this coming Monday that entails you have studied the 2018 exam paper and read the research paper that comes with it.
We look forward to see you all at Zoom on Monday, prepared to discuss the 2018 exam paper.
We have decided to have the last seminars online. We see this as the right thing to do in the current Covid-19 situation in Oslo. While the University of Oslo is still a safe place to be, we must also take into account the increasing number of positive tests in Oslo and the new measures from the City Government. We should all travel less on public transportation and avoid meeting in larger groups when it is not essential. With the well-established groups in IN5210, we assume that the discussions will continue when switching to Zoom.
More information about practical arrangements will come from Alexander and Ragnhild.
The syllabus is now finalized with 4 additional papers for the lecture by Ole Hanseth.

The Information Systems research group will present their available theses next week in a shared session for students of the Programming and System Architecture and Design, Use, Interaction programmes. Some projects are already available here.
You will meet potential supervisors and have a chance to ask questions. The presentation will be given physically but with the option to join digitally via Zoom.

The assignment this week will be peer-reviewed. This means that you – the students – will give each other feedback. You still need to submit the assignment in devilry, but we will use the first five minutes of the coming seminar to organize the peer-review. Each group will be asked to self-organize who reads and comments on which paper. In the following seminar, you will then give each other feedback during the group session.

Because the admission process was delayed, we are postponing the start of the group sessions with one week. The first group sessions will, therefore, be Monday 31. August.

We will have the first IN5210 question and answer session tomorrow (Thursday 20/8) at 12:15. We expect you to watch the two introductory lectures before the session and come with any questions you may have.
We will use zoom for this digital session, and you can ask your questions either orally or in the chat.

Hi everyone!
Because of the ongoing COVID-19 situation, all lectures in IN5210 this semester will be digital. Most lectures will have the following structure:
- A prerecorded video on the given theme
- An interactive session on Zoom, where you can ask questions directly to the lecturer
The lecture videos will be available in the lecture schedule at least two days before the lecture date. The interactive session will be at the time specified in the schedule (Wednesdays or Thursdays at 12.15).
Because the interactive sessions are for asking questions, you have to watch the video before attending. You will also get a lot more out of the lectures if you spend some time thinking of relevant questions while watching the video.
When it comes to the seminars, some will be offline, some online. You will get more information during the first lecture.
